Brackets Heating Up at Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo

By Susan Kanode for the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo

FORT WORTH, Texas (Feb. 1, 2026) — Competition intensified Sunday as Bracket 6 wrapped up at the Fort Worth Livestock Show & Rodeo ProRodeo Tournament, with Semi-Finals and Wild Card positions on the line inside Dickies Arena.

Steiner Leads Bareback Riding Push

Former bareback riding champion and hometown favorite Rocker Steiner of Weatherford, Texas, opened the action with an emphatic win in round two. Steiner scored 89 points aboard Redzilla from Pete Carr Pro Rodeo to claim the round.

Steiner, who won this rodeo in 2023 and 2024, returned to Fort Worth motivated after being shut out in 2025. Fresh off earning the National Finals Rodeo world title in December, Steiner continues his family’s rodeo legacy. His grandfather Bobby Steiner was a world champion bull rider, and his father Sid Steiner earned a world title in steer wrestling.

With advancement to the Semi-Finals, Steiner is now positioned for a potential third FWSSR title.

Miller Sweeps Breakaway Roping

Aspen Miller of Santa Fe, Texas, dominated breakaway roping by winning both rounds of Bracket 6. After posting a 2.4-second run earlier, Miller lowered her time to 1.9 seconds in round two.

Miller has already earned more than $5,000 at the FWSSR ProRodeo Tournament and will carry strong momentum into the Semi-Finals.

Wright Posts Top Saddle Bronc Score

Record-setting cowboy Stetson Wright delivered the highest saddle bronc riding score of the day, marking 90 points aboard Toma Jo from Pete Carr Pro Rodeo.

Wright, who won saddle bronc riding titles at Dickies Arena in 2022 and 2023, advances to the Semi-Finals and remains on pace for a potential third Fort Worth title in the event.

The reigning all-around and bull riding world champion also competed in bull riding but did not convert an eight-second ride, ending his advancement hopes in that event.

Hutchings Dominates Bull Riding

With Wright sidelined, Tristen Hutchings of Monteview, Idaho, took control of Bracket 6 bull riding. Hutchings was one of only two riders to make qualified rides, joining Australia’s Qynn Anderson.

Hutchings scored 88.5 points Saturday night and followed up Sunday with 88 points aboard Pretty Boy from Carr Pro Rodeo. He has already earned $8,000 in Fort Worth, while Anderson has collected $6,800.

What’s Next at FWSSR

The final bracket of the FWSSR ProRodeo Tournament begins Monday night at 7:30 p.m., concluding Military Appreciation Day at the stock show. Bracket 7 will finish Tuesday, determining the remaining Semi-Finals and Wild Card qualifiers.
