This year, the 2013 AQHA Convention registration includes the president’s reception, sponsored by Pfizer Animal Health, along with a ticket to Rodeo Houston at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. Rodeo Houston entertainment for the evening will be Tim McGraw. The president’s reception is at 7 p.m. on March 8, hosted at the rodeo. A cocktail reception will be held at 5 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Houston prior to the reception. Transportation will be provided from the hotel to the rodeo.

Convention attendees will enjoy Texas-style barbeque at the rodeo along with entertainment by Tim McGraw. AQHA holds an annual convention to review member-submitted rule changes, appoint new AQHA directors, induct new members into the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame and present year-end awards. The 2013 AQHA Convention is March 8-11 at the Hyatt Regency Houston in Houston.

Each year, the convention is filled with events and activities for AQHA members – general membership meetings, committee meetings, banquets, receptions and much more. Be sure to register for convention by January 31 to take advantage of the reduced registration fee. Registration for convention can be done in two easy ways. Members can  register online or by filling out the registration form available in the January issue of The American Quarter Horse Journal.
