Former Hopkins County Chief Investigator Toney Hurley has joined the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association http://www.tscra.org (TSCRA) as a special ranger for District 12 in Northeast Texas. Hurley replaces TSCRA Special Ranger Wayne Goodman who was relocated to the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

District 12 includes Bowie, Camp, Cass, Delta, Franklin, Hopkins, Lamar, Morris, Rains, Red River and Titus counties.

“Toney has more than 20 years of law enforcement experience in the Northeast Texas area,” said Larry Gray, TSCRA executive director of law enforcement and theft prevention. “He’s also worked in all aspects of the agriculture industry, which makes him a great asset to the ranchers in his area and our organization. I welcome him to TSCRA and look forward to working with him.”

Hurley served 21 years at the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office.

TSCRA has 30 special rangers stationed strategically throughout Texas and Oklahoma who have in-depth knowledge of the cattle industry and are trained in all facets of law enforcement.
