Cattle Raisers host Ranch Gathering in Decatur

Come join the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association www.tscra.org (TSCRA) for a ranch gathering Thursday, July 21, at the Wise County Sheriff’s Posse Arena in Decatur. The gathering will begin at 6 p.m. with registration followed by a beef dinner and presentations.

“TSCRA ranch gatherings are a great place for folks to get together and discuss what is going on in the cattle business and how they can help,” said Joe Parker Jr., rancher and TSCRA president. “Additionally, TSCRA Special Rangers will be on hand to discuss how to protect your property and livestock from theft.”

The event is open to the public. All members of the press are invited to attend.

The gathering will take place in the Ladies Pavilion of the Wise County Sheriff’s Posse Arena locate at 3101 S. FM 51 in Decatur.

The ranch gathering is sponsored by Ag Vantage, Decatur Livestock, First Financial Bank-Boyd, James Wood Motors, Karl Klement Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep, Micro Beef Technologies and the Wise County Texas AgriLife Extension Service.

The Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association is a 134-year-old trade organization. As the largest and oldest livestock association in Texas, TSCRA represents more than 15,000 beef cattle producers, ranching families and businesses who manage approximately 4 million head of cattle on 79.5 million acres of range and pasture land, primarily in Texas and Oklahoma.
