This past weekend, Nordic Lights Farm traveled to the Spring Gathering Charity Horse Show at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center in Katy, TX. With a talented string of horses, junior rider Lene Bruheim and professional rider Peter Pletcher were awarded top ribbons for their efforts throughout the weekend.

Bruheim represented Nordic Lights in the jumper arena, competing with NLF Valhall in the Low Junior Jumpers and Say No More in the High Children’s Jumpers. After expertly piloting the course in the Low Junior Jumpers, Bruheim and NLF Valhall were awarded the second place prize for their efforts. Bruheim also had an excellent round with her talented mount, Say No More, in the High Children’s Jumpers.

“The Spring Gathering Charity Horse Show was a lot of fun,” commented Bruheim. “I got to focus more on the jumpers this weekend, and both my horses were amazing. The courses were pretty big, but both my horses were superstars for me. They were listening and ready to do what I asked. I couldn’t have asked for better horses this weekend.”

Peter Pletcher also represented Nordic Lights Farm this weekend, showing NLF Shakespeare’s Rhythm in the High Performance Hunter division. The pair only competed in two classes, but their excellent rounds earned them a first place ribbon and a second place ribbon.

Now, Nordic Lights Farm is gearing up for the rest of the spring show season, where they will be competing at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center in Katy, TX, in early May and will be showing in Tyler, TX, later in the month. Amateur rider Eirin Bruheim will be representing Nordic Lights Farm internationally this week as she begins showing in France.

Nordic Lights Farm is a 70-acre establishment located in Tomball, TX, and was founded in 2007 by the Bruheim family to help further the equestrian goals of 18-year-old Erin Bruheim and 16-year-old Lene Bruheim. Both girls have worked their way up through the ranks and are currently competing at the top levels in the hunter and jumper divisions aboard their incredible string of horses.
