Lloyd Cox and One Time Royalty break record
December 14, 2010After coming into the finals on the bubble, Lloyd Cox and One Time Royalty marked an event record 230 to win the Open finals of the 2010 Borden Milk NCHA Futurity. Owned by Matthews Cutting Horses, One Time Royalty was bred by Gail Holmes’ Double Dove Ranch, by One Time Pepto out of Royal Serena Belle. The event sealed the status of Jeffrey Matthews’ One Time Pepto as the leading freshman sire of 2010. Cox had ridden Royal Serena Belle to a reserve championship in the 1996 NCHA Futurity.
