Cutting Futurity News: Merill tops Day 3, Anderson holds lead

Riding A One Time Stray, by One Time Pepto, McKenzie Merrill topped the third day of Non-Pro competition with 218 points Wednesday at the 2010 Borden Milk NCHA Futurity. Senior Youth World Champion Caleb Anderson held his first-round lead with 221 points on Leave N Las Vegas, a son of Smart Mate that is a full brother to CA Las Vegas Lights, the horse he is showing in the Mercuria Energy NCHA World Finals. 

The second round of the Non-Pro begins Thursday in Will Rogers Coliseum. The third round of the Mercuria Energy NCHA World Finals begins at 8 p.m. Thursday in the Watt Arena. The Futurity will conclude with the Open finals on December 11.
