Dudley Hoskins has joined the American Horse Council and will serve as the new Director of Health & Regulatory Affairs.

Prior to joining the AHC, Mr. Hoskins completed a legal internship with Senator David Vitter of Louisiana and extensive Pro Bono work with the Combined Law Enforcement Association of Texas. Mr. Hoskins worked for three years in a civil litigation firm throughout law school, and before law school, he was an associate for McDermott International in both their Treasury and Internal Audit Departments.

“I am very excited for the opportunity to combine my professional experience, legal background, and strong family interest in horses to help address so many important issues affecting such a remarkable industry,” said Hoskins.

“The recent outbreaks of Contagious Equine Metritis and Equine Piroplasmosis in the U.S. have once again illustrated the effect disease can have on this industry. The industry must be in front of these issues,” said AHC President Jay Hickey. “Dudley will be important in that effort.”

Mr. Hoskins earned his undergraduate degree from Tulane University with a concentration in Finance and his Juris Doctorate from Texas Wesleyan School of Law. Mr. Hoskins is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas.
