Troxel Upgrades Dakota DuratecT Helmet Additions Improve Function and Durability at the Same Great Price

San Diego, CA – October 14, 2009 – Troxel LLC, the worldwide leader in ASTM/SEI-certified equestrian helmets, today announced the release of the updated Dakota DuratecT helmet.

The Dakota now features an extended Soft-TipT visor engineered to reduce the possible occurrence of cuts or scrapes in the event of a fall. The new visor is composed of a structural plastic, co-molded with a soft, protective outer rim. In addition to protecting the rider from the sun, the new visor is more durable for daily use.

In addition to the new Soft-Tip visor, Steel GarciaT Retention Rings have been added, completing the rugged, Western look of the helmet.

“The Dakota was the first certified helmet for the Trail & Western rider. This is the most highly ventilated and durable Trail riding helmet on the market and customer feedback has been great,” said Shay Timms, CEO of Troxel.

Available in a Sandstone, Grizzly Brown, or Black, the upgraded Dakota is available now from select retailers at an MSRP of $79.95. The Dakota is part of Troxel’s line of Western helmets, including the Sierra ($119.95) and Cheyenne ($149.95).
