Greenwood Farm, Inc. Fall Horse Trials

For three exciting days, September 25 through 27, Charlie Gilchrist’s SouthWest Ford will once again host Greenwood Farm, Inc’s Fall Horse Trials in Weatherford.  Admission is free, and spectators are welcome to walk the cross-country courses, watch dressage and jumping, and shop for gifts, tack, and delicious food.

Autumn begins at Greenwood Farm for horse lovers everywhere.  At this equestrian triathlon, do not be surprised to see at least 250 competitors from Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Colorado, Louisiana, and New Mexico.  Their horses at this international Olympic sport may even hail from Ireland, Wales, Germany, the Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, England, Austria, France, and Mexico — as well as the good ol’ United States of America.  This performance-oriented competition is open to any breed of horse willing to run cross-country, jump intricate obstacles, and execute precise movements on a dressage field.
