R&D Solutions for Equine

For thousands of years, the equine has been intertwined with the destiny of human beings and has also made a great contribution to human society.   Background of EquineEquine plays a variety of important roles in human society, including those related to diet, transportation, work, sport, recreation, property, military service, and religion. Compared to other domesticated species, equine is less reproductively efficient. Therefore, the primary objectives of most equine breeding programs are to maximize reproductive efficiency and minimize the cost of producing live foals. Advances in molecular genetic techniques and bioinformatics have made it possible to apply conventional genomic evaluation and selection to equine breeding improvement. Applying modern genetic breeding and assisted reproductive techniques enables great improvement in the efficiency of equine breeding and reproduction. In addition, we are also dedicated to providing R&D services for equine nutrition, prevention of equine common infectious diseases, treatment of equine pain, etc. Breeding Goals of EquineBreeding horses requires significant time, labor, and economic expense. The utilization of emerging molecular genetic breeding technologies could improve efficiency and reduce the cost of directional breeding of equine. Our goal is to screen for disease resistance genes by modern molecular breeding techniques and establish suitable reference populations to implement equine genomic selection to develop equine breeds with high immunity and disease resistance. In addition, we focus on equine pain management and provide R&D services for non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) development. Fig.3 Cute Equine-3 (BioVenic Authorized)Sustainable ConsiderationsIn terms of sustainability, the goals are to reduce the waste of resources, reduce carbon emissions, and improve equine reproductive traits that are suitable for diverse climatic conditions to achieve sustainable development of the equine industry, the environment, and society. Other ConsiderationsOther relevant breeding goals include horse size, coat color, temperament, etc. We aim to improve not only phenotypic traits but also enhance equine health, genetic diversity, genomic stability, and animal welfare.
