Brackets Finish at Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo ProRodeo Tournament

By Susan Kanode for the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo

FORT WORTH, Texas (Feb. 3, 2026) — The final bracket of preliminary competition concluded Tuesday night at the Fort Worth Livestock Show & Rodeo ProRodeo Tournament, setting the stage for the Wild Card and Semi-Finals rounds inside Dickies Arena.

For competitors, Bracket 7 represented the last opportunity to advance and remain in contention for one of the most coveted titles in professional rodeo.

Mowry Sweeps Bracket 7 Barrel Racing

Two-time world champion Kassie Mowry of Dublin, Texas, capitalized on that final opportunity in barrel racing. Riding her standout horse Force The Goodbye, known as Jarvis, Mowry won both rounds of Bracket 7.

She clocked a 16.16-second run Monday and followed it with a 16.19 Tuesday, topping the leaderboard and advancing as the bracket’s top barrel racer. The performances added $5,000 to her season earnings.

Despite her dominance across the sport, a Fort Worth title has eluded Mowry. A strategic competitor in selecting her rodeo schedule, a strong finish at FWSSR would be a key step toward qualifying for her seventh Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (NFR) appearance.

Young Returns Strong in Bull Riding

Bull rider Creek Young of Rogersville, Missouri, continued his comeback story with a dominant showing in Bracket 7.

Young qualified for four straight NFRs from 2021–2024, but a broken femur sidelined him from competition in Las Vegas in 2024. After surgery and recovery, he returned in 2025 and finished 45th in the standings—enough to earn entry into major rodeos like Fort Worth.

On Monday night, Young scored 87 points aboard Peaky Blinders from Rafter G Rodeo, one of only two qualified rides in round one. He followed that performance Tuesday with an 89-point ride on Triton, again from Rafter G Rodeo.

With $7,000 earned in Dickies Arena, Young advances to the Semi-Finals, where a continued run could mark one of the biggest victories of his career.

Wild Card Round Up Next

Wednesday night’s Wild Card Rodeo will provide one final opportunity for competitors to crack the top two and move into the Semi-Finals on Thursday and Friday. With Championship Saturday looming, contestants will be leaving nothing in reserve.

The Wild Card Round begins at 7:30 p.m. in Dickies Arena.
