Beginning January 2, 2014 Janet Greenlee joins leadership at the United States Hunter Jumper Association as its new Executive Director. Janet brings with her more than thirty years of leadership and management expertise in strategic planning, team development, relationship management, communications and marketing.
Janet has managed teams and accounts for national marketing campaigns and strategic planning initiatives and her resume includes work for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, NRG Energy, the American Horse Council’s Time to Ride initiative, and the California Raisin Advisory Board.
When outside the office, Janet finds her passion in the saddle. Her equestrian roots began in the Western world and after spending time boarding her Quarter Horse at a hunter/jumper barn she found her true equestrian home was with the hunter/jumpers.
“This is an amazing opportunity to work in the sport for which I have so much appreciation and find so much joy,” Greenlee said. “I am honored to have been selected and will work hard to facilitate continued growth and satisfaction among USHJA constituents.”
USHJA President, Bill Moroney shared his enthusiasm as he welcomed Janet to the USHJA team. “The staff and volunteers have made great developmental strides over the past several months with all our programs and initiatives while maintaining focus on the overall goals and objectives of the association. The Selection Committee searched for a staff leader who would continue to encourage staff and volunteer development while utilizing her extensive business experience to make the overall team even stronger. The Selection Committee was thrilled to find a candidate with Janet’s background and leadership approach; coupled with her working knowledge of the sport. We are excited to have her join the team.”
Janet will travel to Atlanta, GA December 8-12, for the USHJA Annual Meeting and will begin working with the staff and volunteers full time on January 2, 2014.
