AmerEquine Educates & Entertains Texas
April 3, 2012AmerEquine is the new foal in the paddock of horse-related events for 2012, and it comes with an entirely original concept for promoting horse-related activities and businesses. AmerEquine will combine what has come to be described as “equine-educational” along with top-tier concerts, equine experts, and other entertainment all at one expo. The venue for AmerEquine’s first Festival of the Horse will be the historic Will Rogers Memorial Center in Ft. Worth, TX; and the dates will be June 1-3, 2012.
In addition to showcasing high-profile clinicians and Olympic riders, AmerEquine will present concerts by horse-friendly, popular entertainers at affordable prices in the same complex and concurrently with clinics, demonstrations, seminars, and commercial exhibits. Will Rogers Memorial Center features three arenas, several presentation facilities, and a large concert room. All of these will be running throughout the day along with the equine-related trade show. The best part is that anyone who buys a concert ticket will get into the clinics, demonstration, seminars, and trade show for free. However, the trade show will be ticketed separately (and very reasonably) for those who are only interested in only the educational and commercial aspects of the event.
Among those appearing in concert will be Emmylou Harris, Marty Stuart, Jesse Winchester, Riders In The Sky, and Don Edwards. And especially well-represented is the traditionally horse-culture-based music of bluegrass by three groups who all have champion horse competitors in them- Jimmie Dale Gilmore & the Wronglers, Heidi Clare & AtaGallop, and Dry Branch Fire Squad. All these premier performers have literally kept horses in the very fabric of their songs.
Likewise, the educational part of AmerEquine’s Festival of the Horse will have the best in the world. Craig Cameron will be presenting his patented Extreme Cowboy Race and other clinics. Tim McQuay and Tom McCutcheon, two of Texas’s best, (2010 U.S. Gold Team members at the World Equestrian Games) will be on hand for both clinics and demonstrations. Sylvia Zerbini, the former star of Cavalia, who has generated gasps of wonder all over the country, will be performing in person with her “star” horses as well. The great World Champion Becky Hart will be in the house; so will Medalist Aaron Ralston and National Champion trick roper, Doug Smith-and more to be announced. Come for the entertainment and stay for the horses, or vice-versa; either way you win.
