Cattle Raisers host ranch gathering in Fredericksburg

Come join the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA) http://www.tscra.org for a ranch gathering Thursday, Sept. 22, at the Gillespie County Fairgrounds in Fredericksburg. The gathering will begin at 5:30 p.m. with registration followed by a steak dinner and presentations.

“TSCRA ranch gatherings are a great place for folks to get together and discuss what is going on in the cattle business and how they can help,” said Joe Parker Jr., rancher and TSCRA president. “These gatherings aren’t just for TSCRA members. Anyone interested in the cattle industry is invited to attend.”

Larry Gray, TSCRA executive director of law enforcement, will discuss protecting your property from theft during difficult economic times and Jason Skaggs, TSCRA executive director of government and public affairs, will give a preview of what’s ahead on the political front concerning agriculture.

Additionally, Tom Hammer and Ricky Neffendorf with the National Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) will be available to provide information to ranchers on federal drought programs.

The event is open to the public. All members of the press are invited to attend.
