Tyler Merrill and First Lookin lead day four

Tyler Merrill and First Lookin topped the fourth day of Open competition Wednesday at the 2010 Borden Milk NCHA Futurity with a 218.5. Bred by Lannie Louise Mecom and owned by Danny Miller of Poolville, Texas, First Lookin is a son of Smart Little Lena and Smart Lookin Hi Brow, the 1999 NCHA Derby Champion. Jaime Snider and Sly Playgirl hold the overall lead with 219.5 points.

The first round of Open competition continues through November 26. The show, at Fort Worth’s historic Will Rogers Memorial Complex, will conclude with the Open finals on December 11.
