It was an exciting and successful weekend for Lene Bruheim at the Lone Star Fall Hunter/Jumper Show in Katy, Texas. Bruheim competed in the High Children’s Jumpers and the $5,000 Children’s/Adult Jumper Classic with her top mount NLF Valhall. The pair proved to be triumphant during this weekend’s events, brining home top accolades.

First, Bruheim competed in the High Children’s Jumper class where she proved to be unbeatable with NLF Valhall. The duo completed a double clear effort and had the fastest jump-off time to take home the winning title.

“The win is a nice way to start back up our showing this fall,” smiled Bruheim. “My horse was extremely excited when we got to the show on Saturday. It was wonderful to have him so ready, and I felt focused as well. In the first round, he was a little playful and energetic, but by the jump off he was serious, listening, and ready to really go for it.”

Bruheim also competed in the $5,000 Children’s/Adult Jumper Classic where she scored the seventh place award after producing an excellent effort with NLF Valhall. She is currently leading both the High Children’s Jumpers and the Children’s Hunters in Zone 7 and will continue showing through the fall as she prepares for the Pennsylvania National Horse Show and the Washington International Horse Show.

Nordic Lights Farm is a 70-acre establishment located in Tomball, TX, that was founded in 2007 by the Bruheim family to help further the equestrian goals of 18-year-old Eirin Bruheim and 16-year-old Lene Bruheim. Both girls have worked their way up through the ranks and are currently competing at the top levels in the hunter and jumper divisions aboard their incredible string of horses.
