Kerrits is Proud to Partner with Columbia Sportswear in Helping the Environment

Kerrits continues its commitment to help the environment by participating in “A Box Life”, a program initiated by ColumbiaR Sportswear to help keep cardboard boxes in use longer.

“This is a great program for manufacturers and retailers to get involved in,” says owner of Kerrits, Kerri Kent. “A Box Life keeps boxes in use longer, allowing them to be used multiple times, reducing waste and the impact on the environment.”

How it works: A Box Life tracks the life cycle and use of cardboard boxes by giving each participating box a unique QR code and tracking number on individual stickers. This allows people to track the full story of where the box has traveled from.

People can track their box’s progress on A Box Life , share pictures on a Flickr group and tag relevant stories with the hash tag #aboxlife on Twitter posts.

Kerrits has been a strong leader in environmental commitment starting with their eco friendly line of apparel called g.r.a.s.s (Green Riding Apparel for Style and Sustainability) which was launched in 2008. As of Spring 2010 the g.r.a.s.s line is labeled under the Kerrits Brand. Along with eco friendly manufacturing processes, Kerrits also supports the Equestrian Land Conservancy by donating 1% of their profits to help preserve land for equine use.

Kerrits is encouraging manufacturers and retailers to join this great program and encourages all to Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.

Since 1986 Kerrits Performance Equestrian Apparel has been committed to providing innovative, functional performance apparel, designed and constructed specifically for the unique demands of women who ride and love horses.
