ACTHA Blows Past 6,000 Members
May 7, 2010ACTHA ANNOUNCED TODAY THEIR CURRENT RATE OF NEW PAID MEMBERSHIPS AND EQUINE REGISTRIES EXCEEDS 1,000 PER MONTH!
“We always knew if we built it ‘they would come’ .it’s just too much fun and we ride for such a great cause” stated Karen VanGetson in a recent teleconference with publishers. “But the rate of growth we are experiencing in a very tough business climate, far exceeds any forecasts we made.”
The American Competitive Trail Horse Association, ACTHA, took their Texas based Competitive Trail ChallengeC venue from a localized concern benefiting Texas Rescues to a national platform in March if 2009. Rides now are happening at the rate of 1,000+ per year.
“We knew we had a tiger by the tail when we saw the repeat rate of our riders and affiliates. Both ride hosts and riders repeat their ACTHA experience at over a 90% rate. You can run all the tests and marketing/quality control studies you want, but this is the key statistic for me” says Tammy Sronce ACTHA’S Marketing Manager. “Charity or no charity the customer has to have a good experience and perceive good value or they won’t come back. These stats along with a 97% renewal rate in annual memberships make ACTHA work, for us and our charities.”
“Our goal for our first year of national activity was 2,000 members and rides in 27 states. We concluded our first year of national operations with just under 5,000 members and have rides in all 50 states.
We’re scrambling like mad to keep up but are encouraged both by the results and how well our internal quality control systems are holing up. Despite 4 million hits last month on our web site, www.actha.us, and 48,500 unique visits its pretty much business as usual around here, even if it does resemble the stock exchange on a busy day! Although I must say the World Record Ride For The Rescues, where we are putting on at least one ride in every state ON THE SAME EXACT DAY.JUNE 13TH, 2010, thereby setting a GuinnessT Record, has caused everyone here to work over time lately. But our 13 staff members are so ‘into it’ and the idea of the total proceeds for the day going to the rescue effort you can’t get them to stop working at all kinds of ungodly hours!” says General Manager Tom Scrima.”It’s gonna be one heck of a day and a record that will last a very, very long time. We want to strut what ACTHA is all about and the power of our riders, affiliates, volunteers and our incredible SPONSORS. Together we are going to end, once and for all, the plight of the forgotten horse. WE HAVE OVER $2,000,000 NOW IN GENEROUS SPONSOR SUPPORT ANNUALLY that translates into great gifts for joining and prizes for our members. At the end of the day ACTHA simply is transferring our SPONSOR’S generosity into a fun filled format that feeds horses in crisis.
It’s great work and I couldn’t be more proud of ACTHA’s immediate impact and the performance and dedication of every team member here.”
