Tucker Trail Saddles Releases Two New Saddles with New FB Fit Tree
April 9, 2010Tucker Trail Saddles, known for providing hours of ultimate trail comfort, has released two new trail saddles with a new FB Fit tree for horses with a flat barrel, or slab sided, conformation.
The new FB Fit tree was designed to accommodate horses with a flat barrel, or slab sided, conformation which is often seen in gaited breeds. The angle of the bars allows better contact down the length of the tree which improves saddle fit for horses with this type of conformation. The new FB Fit tree is available in medium and wide tree widths.
Tucker has developed two new trail saddles featuring the FB Fit tree-the 261 Black Mountain and 154 Copper Ridge. The Black Mountain features a bold new look from Tucker with a new border tool pattern, close contact skirt shape, and black seat and saddle strings. The adjustable position close contact rigging gives the rider the choice of three rigging positions, alleviates bulk under the rider’s leg, and is less weight. The Copper Ridge has all the features of the Black Mountain but in an endurance style. These new saddles are available with the new FB Fit tree or the classic Tucker tree in medium, wide, and extra wide.
“We are constantly researching horse conformation as it applies to saddle fit. We saw a void and developed a tree with a small modification in the angle of the tree bars. This will have a huge impact on the comfort of slab sided horses, which is often seen in gaited breeds, to achieve a great fit,” said Mark Jemelka, chief operating officer of Tucker Trail Saddles.
