Downunder Horsemanship is excited to announce the winner of rescue horse “Cider”. After being featured in Clinton Anderson’s thirteen-week rescue horse RFD-TV series, Cider has found a new home with No Worries Club member Amy Oliver Ortiz.

Donated by Habitat for Horses, Cider arrived at the Downunder Horsemanship Ranch late last summer after being rescued twice from starvation. With the goal of filming a TV show that would highlight a rescue horse and then place it in a good home, Clinton set to work earning Cider’s respect, confidence and trust using his Method. The palomino mare soon proved to be good natured and willing to please. “Cider is the perfect example of a good horse that could have gone to waste if someone hadn’t made the effort to contact Habitat for Horses and ask the right questions,” Clinton says. “Many rescue horses are good horses just waiting for someone to invest some time in them. If you’re willing to put in the time to work with them and train them, you can not only improve their lives, but you can also get a really nice horse.”

Over 100,000 viewers of the Downunder Horsemanship series registered for a chance to win Cider and all of the tack and equipment used to train her throughout the thirteen-week series – a $30,000 value. The complete rescue horse series is available at www.downunderhorsemanship.com.
