NRHA Futurity Coverage on Wide World of Horses presented by McQuay Stables
February 12, 2010NRHA Futurity to be Featured on RFD-TV
When the 2009 National Reining Horse Association Futurity concluded, NRHA $3 Million rider Shawn Flarida had won the Championship on Gunnatrashya. While many people were in the stands of the Jim Norick Coliseum in Oklahoma City for the live action, millions didn’t get the opportunity. Now, thanks to McQuay Stables, the event will air on the award-winning Wide World of Horses the weeks of February 8 and 15.
“Because of event coverage like the NRHA Futurity, Wide World of Horses has become the most-watched equine program on RFD-TV,” noted Wide World of Horses Co-Owner Jack Covington. “Thanks to Tim and Colleen McQuay for their continued support of both the reining industry and Wide World of Horses.”
Colleen noted, “The NRHA Futurity is a very exciting event that we have been blessed to be a part of for many years. We are thrilled to be able to bring that same excitement and suspense into the homes of all the Wide World of Horses viewers.” Tim McQuay won the event in 2008, and in 2009, the McQuays were thrilled when Gunnatrashya, a son of their renowned stallion Gunner, won the Championship.
Wide World of Horses airs on RFD-TV at 11:30 am and 9:30 pm CST every Monday and on Sunday morning at 6:30 am. The 30-minute program features a broad spectrum of the equine world’s most exciting events and individuals and offers a great opportunity for equine individuals and events to reach an audience approaching 30 million viewers.
