Zephyr’s Garden Launches Their New Anti-Fungal Spray, the perfect companion to their award winning Anti-Fungal Salve!

Nothing is more exasperating for horse owners than trying to cure topical equine bacterial or fungal infections. The dermatitis seems to spread overnight, it ruins a coat, take months to cure, and requires added months for hair re-growth. With this in mind, Zephyr’s Garden created their new Anti-Fungal Spray. A sibling to their award winning Anti-Fungal Salve, the spray is oil-free, leaves no residue, and dries clear. After eighteen months of product refinement, internal testing, and a national product trial, Zephyr’s Garden’s new Anti-Fungal Spray is now available to the public.

Formulated with eleven herbs, three essential oils, in a base of Aloe Vera juice and Apple Cider Vinegar, the Anti-Fungal Spray is tough on fungus, but very gentle on the skin. “We have a solid ‘fan’ base for the Anti-Fungal Salve and several customers inquired about the possibility of us creating a spray version,” states owner and founder Georgette Topakas. “Horse owners wanted something lighter, that would give them greater body coverage and a spray was the natural conclusion. Our product testers, who were predominately from Florida, were eager to test the new spray on fungal cases that had resisted other over-the-counter and prescriptive preparations in the past. We supplied each tester with two versions of a slightly different formulation and the results were better than we had anticipated!”

The Testers

Horse owners from California to Florida took part in a product trial that produced a 97% positive experience overall for the testers. Each participant reported that the spray eliminated the fungal or bacterial infection quickly, only a few applications were required, the hair grew back the correct color, and their horses had no problems accepting the application of the product. In fact, several testers reported that their horses were particularly interested in the smell of the Anti-Fungal Spray. The spray proved effective for rain rot, early cases of scratches, elbow crud, girth itch, dermatitis on the ears, face, and forelock, dermatitis on the mane and tail, and quickly healed “Florida Sores.” As tester one stated, “The amazing thing is that the fungus is finally gone! It has not reoccurred on Windy’s ears and back, the hair is growing in and the spray is super easy to use. Two applications was all it took.”
