The elite western equine disciplines of reining, reined cow horse, western pleasure and dressage are more alike than one might think. Regardless of the type of saddle you ride, you can greatly improve your riding and your horse’s response by injecting grace and finesse into your everyday training routine. Multiple World Champions and AQHA Professional Horsemen of the Year recipients Lynn Palm and Al Dunning show you the cues, body position and training techniques you need to be consistent each time you step in the saddle.
Segments include the cross training of rider’s balance and communication, exercises that will aid you in precise control of your horse and his balance, transitions, circles, speed control, lead changes, sliding stops/halts, and lateral training. Lynn and Al explain how the elite equine disciplines all share the common techniques of traditional dressage and illustrate technique and form on both English and Western mounts. Your learning is greatly enhanced by right and wrong examples and the professional exchange of ideas between these two legendary showmen.
The DVD is for all levels of riders and especially for those who are Rookie/Non-Pro Reiners, 4-Hers, & Show Competitors that are riding multiple disciplines.
