Equestrian Nation, hosted by legendary cowboy Larry Mahan, has just released the DVD “A Day with Tom Dorrance” Raw footage of the legendary master. With all proceeds going to his wife Margaret Dorrance.

Fallbrook, CA – October 21, 2009 – The man who started the quiet revolution in horsemanship. The man the Horse Whisperer book and movie was based on. The man who influenced Ray Hunt, Pat Parelli, Buck Brannaman, and scores of others. Tom Dorrance could have been the single most influential man in the way horses are trained today. Dorrance was never one to seek the spotlight, which has left the horse community with very few choices of videos of him. Equestrian Nation, a top rated show on the RFD-TV network, has just made available, an over 2 1/2 hour DVD, of the raw footage from a day Larry Mahan spent with Tom Dorrance. All proceeds from the sale of this DVD, are going to Tom’s wife Margaret Dorrance.

“I was honored and blessed to be able to spend some time with Tom Dorrance back in the 90’s,” states show host Larry Mahan. “I sat down with him one day and we talked alot about horses. We put together a group of people that were having problems with their horses, and brought them to him. It was amazing to watch this man study and feel what was going on with these horses. He had a power that very few people will ever be able to understand or at least reach that level. It certainly raised the bar for all of us who really love horses and for those of us who would really like to keep growing and evolving into the best person that we can become. Tom Dorrance opened my eyes to a lot of areas that I certainly needed to be working on. He knew about love, compassion, joy, patience, and how to find peace and harmony in his own life. A day with Tom Dorrance was a very special day for me. There was a lot of great information about horses and again about people.”
