September 17, 2009Elizabeth McCall to Promote Gallop to Freedom by Frédéric Pignon and Magali Delgado, the Founding Stars of Cavalia, for Trafalger Square Books
LOS ANGELES (Sept. 16, 2009) — The day I said goodbye to my former role as the horse industry liaison for the equestrian spectacle Cavalia, was the day I began missing the extraordinary moments of seeing the show’s founding stars Frédéric Pignon and Magali Delgado work their magic with horses on the stage and off it,says affiliate member and media consultant Elizabeth McCall. Now, thanks to Trafalgar Square Books upcoming release of Gallop to Freedom written by Frédéric Pignon and Magali Delgado, I not only feel like I’m sharing their company again. I gained a wonderful opportunity to assist this distinguished publisher in promoting a book that captures what knowing them and their approach to horses is truly about.
Scheduled for release in mid-October from Trafalgar Square Books, Gallop to Freedom ($29.95 hc) presents a touching, mind-opening perspective on horses and life as Frédéric and Magali share the events, experiences, and the horses that shaped their training philosophy and the principles they embrace. A tribute to the power of writing from the heart while communicating their rare and remarkable insights on training horses, the couples extraordinary relationship with horses (and each other) is visually captured in 187 stunning photos gathered from names like Gabriele Boiselle to Frédéric Chehu.
Gallop to Freedom is like experiencing a visit with Frédéric and Magali–to their family’s breeding farm in the South of France, performing in North America and Europe, watching them train, reflects Elizabeth. It includes touching details never written before about Templado, the Lusitano stallion who was the catalyst to restructuring their lives with horses.
In preparation for Gallop to Freedom’s release, Elizabeth is working with Trafalgar Square Books to make sure the debut will be memorable. Stay tuned for details on Gallop to Freedom’s forthcoming book trailer (think movie trailer for books), the back story about working with performers on tour from the publisher’s perspective, press materials (photo offerings will include Chehu shots of Frédéric and Magali on the beach at Paradise Cove in Malibu, California with their gorgeous stallions running loose!), and a promotion or two that will get you galloping to Trafalgars www.horseandriderbooks.com http://www.horseandriderbooks.com/ to enter.
Frédéric and Magali retired from Cavalia last December after six years on tour and have been busy training horses and working on the family’s Lusitano breeding farm in France in the months since. It would indeed be surprising if we do not soon hear about new exploits of this remarkable duo. But first things first–join Frédéric and Magali on an adventure you’ll never forget — with their book Gallop to Freedom!
