JB Quarter Horses is now accepting consignments for their Creating Legends Production and Select Barrel Horse and Prospect Sale
The inaugural JB Quarter Horses Creating Legends Production and Select Barrel Horse and Prospect Sale will be held November 21 in conjunction with World Barrel Racing Production’s 2009 Barrelnanza and the $25,000-added JB Quarter Horses Futurity at the Heart O’ Texas Fairgrounds in Waco, Texas.
This premier sale will offer 60 of the finest barrel horses and prospects, including export-quality offspring of the nation’s leading sires, National Finals Rodeo qualifiers and own daughters of all-time leading broodmare sire Bugs Alive In 75 as well as embryos out of some of the best performing and producing mares of all time.
As one of the newcomers to the barrel racing industry, JB Quarter Horses understands the difficulties of promoting a fledgling program and the hard work and dedication it takes to keep an established one in the public eye. So, alongside the fine offerings from JB Quarter Horses, guest consignments will be selected for the sale.
“I’m very passionate about this industry,” says JB Quarter Horses’ Dee Braman. “The success of JB Quarter Horses is tied to the success of the industry. For JB Quarter Horses to grow, the industry itself has to grow. That’s why I wanted give barrel racers a premier sale where their own contributions to the industry could be appreciated. It doesn’t matter if your program consists of one great mare or several, if you own your own stallion or not. This sale isn’t about the success of one great program; this sale is about the success of the industry as a whole.”
Potential consignments must submit a completed Consignment Form, a signed Consignor’s Contract and a fully refundable $325 fee to the JB Quarter Horses Sales Manager Donna Hanover.
Forms will be available at www.jbqhsale.com. Consignments will be taken from August 1 until September 1. All materials must be postmarked by September 1 to be considered. Accepted horses will be notified mid-September. Consigners of horses that do not make the sale will be refunded the $325 fee. For more information, please contact the sale manager at [email protected] or call 361.218.8079.
All selected horses will be featured in a top-of-the-line print and e-catalog. The online catalog will allow consigners to include videos as well as additional pictures of their horses.
In addition to the first class sale where every effort will be made to promote each individual horse, consigners, buyers and the curious will be treated to the exciting Barrelnanza atmosphere. Along with barrel racing action in the $25,000-added JB Quarter Horses Futurity for horses 5-and-under and the Barrelnanza open 6D with its $460,000 in cash and prizes, various demonstrations and lectures from the likes of barrel racing legends Ed and Martha Wright, World Champion trainer Dena Kirkpatrick and Road To the Horse Champion Stacy Westfall will be available.
