DC Howdy Perks “Ned” 2020 AQHA Bay Gelding • 15.2 Hands

DC Howdy Perks, “Ned,” is a 6-year-old, 15.2-hand AQHA gelding that was born and raised outside in Idaho. He has been ridden extensively in rough country gathering and herding cattle, packed in the mountains, and led pack strings. He is exceptionally sure-footed, comfortable to ride, and travels confidently through creeks, bogs, logs, and steep terrain.

Ned has good feet, plenty of bone, and has remained sound throughout his career. He has never been lame, never bucked, and is not cold-backed. He is easy to catch in a large pasture and stands well for the farrier. He loads easily in a stock trailer and is good to worm, vaccinate, bathe, and blanket.

In addition to his ranch experience, Ned has been used to sort cattle and will watch a cow. He is also started on both the barrel and pole patterns. With Sun Frost on his papers, he offers a desirable combination of athletic ability, cow sense, and speed.
